What is galvanizing?
Galvanizing is a metal finishing technique that applies a zinc coating to iron or steel to stop corrosion and rust. There are two primary galvanizing techniques:
1.Hot-dip galvanizing:A layer of zinc alloy is created when the pre-treated steel is immersed in molten zinc and reacts with the steel surface. A thicker coating with generally considerable corrosion resistance is produced by hot-dip galvanizing, making it appropriate for applications in hostile environments or outdoors.
2.Electrogalvanizing: To create a thinner coating, zinc is electrolyzed and applied to the steel surface. Applications requiring a delicate surface treatment and cheaper costs can benefit from electrogalvanizing.
